Acorn Compost – GMO Free

During the composting process at our facility near Littleton, Co. Tipperary, biodegradable wastes are broken down into their constituent elements to produce a high quality, nutrient rich compost suitable for use a  soil improver.

Complex organic molecules such as proteins, carbohydrates, DNA, lipids etc. are broken down into sugars, amino acids, fatty
acids and other molecules readily available as plant nutrients.

Acorn recently commissioned a German company, Eurofins GeneScan GmBh, to carry out a scan of the compost for any traces of Genetically Modified Organisms.  The results show the compost to be GMO free.
